Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Training State, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and stores information when you use our mobile application, Kalibrate (the "App").

1. Overview

Kalibrate does not require you to create an account with your name or email address to use the App. We do not use the App to track you across third-party apps or websites, and we do not use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) for advertising.

The App does collect pseudonymous identifiers, gameplay and self-report data, monetization events, and diagnostics so we can operate the App, personalize the experience, understand usage, and monitor reliability.

2. Information We Collect

  • Pseudonymous identifiers: The App creates and stores a random app-specific user ID in the Keychain. That ID may persist across reinstalls and may sync through iCloud Keychain if available. The App also creates session IDs and, when Firebase is configured, obtains a Firebase Anonymous Authentication user ID.
  • Gameplay and session data: We collect information about how you use KB2, including session timestamps and duration, scores, streaks, reaction times, tap accuracy, phase transitions, difficulty adjustments, achievements, and similar gameplay or performance events.
  • Self-report and wellness data: We collect your in-app questionnaire and EMA responses, including stress, calm/restlessness, energy, and related response metadata such as completion time and context.
  • Monetization data: We collect paywall views and dismissals, locked-feature access attempts, introductory access start and expiration events, restore attempts, purchased product IDs, product type, displayed price, and related conversion metadata.
  • Diagnostics and analytics data: We use Firebase services to collect crash logs, diagnostic data, app activity, and app or device metadata made available by Firebase, such as app version, operating system version, app instance identifiers, and similar telemetry.
  • Local device data: The App stores settings, achievements, adaptive difficulty state, entitlement and introductory access state, and session history files on your device.
  • Information you choose to provide outside the App: If you contact us by email, complete a linked survey, or join a linked community, the relevant third-party service may collect the information you provide under its own terms and privacy policy.

3. How We Use Information

We use this information to:

  • operate, maintain, and improve Kalibrate;
  • personalize gameplay, adaptive difficulty, and progress views;
  • store and sync session history and research-related session records;
  • measure engagement, introductory access conversion, paywall performance, and purchase flows;
  • authenticate backend writes and maintain cloud session records;
  • detect crashes, diagnose problems, and improve reliability; and
  • configure in-app content such as Remote Config values and in-app messages.

4. Services and Disclosure

We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate the App, including:

  • Google Firebase for Anonymous Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, and In-App Messaging.
  • Apple for App Store, StoreKit, subscription, and purchase processing.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.

5. Storage and Retention

  • On-device storage: Session history files, settings, achievements, and adaptive difficulty data are stored locally on your device until you clear them or remove the App.
  • Persistent identifiers: The random app-specific ID stored in Keychain may remain after you delete and reinstall the App, and may sync through iCloud Keychain if enabled on your device.
  • Cloud and diagnostics storage: Session records, analytics, and crash data may be retained by us and our service providers for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the App.
  • Local deletion controls: The App includes a Settings option to clear locally stored session and achievement history. This does not automatically remove records that were already sent to our backend or service providers.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and post the revised policy through the App or our website.
